Dear sisters and brothers,

As we celebrate All Saints and All Souls, we remember those who have gone before us in faith. The saints teach us that giving is not a burden, but a joy born of love for God. Recognizing that everything they had was a gift from God, they shared generously with others. Their example invites us to give joyfully, not merely from what we have left over, but from grateful hearts eager to share God’s blessings.

The faith we have inherited is a precious gift to preserve, grow and pass on to future generations. Our parish is where faith is nurtured, the sacraments are celebrated, the young grow in faith, the poor are served, and all are welcomed in love. This mission depends on our generous financial support. Our goal is not simply to raise funds, but to raise up joyful givers who recognize that supporting God’s work is a privilege and a blessing.

As we honor the saints and remember our departed loved ones including many of our founding parishioners, let us consider the legacy of faith and generosity we will leave behind. St. Paul reminds us, “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Corinthians 9:7).

I invite each of us to reflect prayerfully on our financial giving and consider how we can give more generously to sustain our parish’s mission. May the joy of giving express our love for God, our gratitude for His blessings, and our commitment to passing on a vibrant faith to the next generation.
